Summer Enrichment & Fun Camp

O.A.S.I.S. Summer Enrichment and Fun Camp is dedicated to a community-oriented, holistic approach to youth development. Oasis strives to provide customized, engaging programs for children and families by transforming local school and public spaces into fun, vibrant communities. Our programs create safe and inclusive environments where children develop life skills through quality experiences in the arts, athletics, and enrichment activities. We partner with schools to operate summer enrichment programs that diminish summer learning loss and work to improve student’s proficiency in reading and math. This allows students to progress and improve academically while developing social skills and self-confidence in a motivating and challenging environment.
O.A.S.I.S. Afterschool Enrichment Program is an aftercare program that is beyond the ordinary. We are raising the bar as we strive to offer each child an environment that is unique to their educational needs. Our enrichment program provides opportunities for one on one interaction between students and tutors. All materials are developmentally and age-appropriate. Our classrooms are split into grade levels and are supplied with everything your child needs to be successful. An afternoon snack is included, along with indoor and outdoor play areas. We provide transportation to our safe and comfortable facility.

Girls of Color

O.A.S.I.S. Girls of Color mentoring group offers empowerment to girls of color.

We accomplish this through team-building, self-concept, etiquette, and social skills activities. This program offers a web of explorations designed to enrich, enlighten, and cultivate the lives of young ladies from all walks of life. The most anticipated event of the year is our “Tea for Teens.” More information about this event will be provided.

The H.E.L.P. Organization Community Closet offers clothing and other personal hygiene items to students and their immediate families. The referrals are provided by school guidance counselors based on teacher recommendations. Upon receipt of the referral, immediate action is taken based upon the community closet need form, and the materials are delivered directly to the individuals and their families. Events such as house fires and homeless issues receive immediate attention. Through the Community Closet, H.E.L.P. Organization hosts an annual “Prom surprise Day.” School guidance counselors select two young ladies per high school to receive prom dresses and accessories. This service extends formal attire to young ladies within Jefferson County School system who experience hardship and lack the adequate funding to purchase prom attire.

A.C.E.S. A New Chance with Education and Success

This program provides Supportive Skills & Services for homelessness. Our goal is to positively alter the future of at-risk teens. HELP Organization Inc has established this skill-building and mentoring program called A.C.E.S: A Chance with Education for Success. The A.C.E.S. Leadership and Mentoring Program is designed to prepare youth for life on their own through training in conflict resolution, effective communication skills, leadership skills, parenting skills, transitional life skills, money management, and career guidance. The program also pairs each youth enrolled in the program with an adult committed to serving as his or her mentor for a minimum of one year.

The primary end goal of this program is to establish a campus for transitional living to help instill life skills for young men and women who are exiting foster care. The campus will provide a safe and secure environment for young men and women between the ages of 17-21 who have aged out of their foster care settings. The campus will help this special group of young people safely navigate the teams of adulthood as they move from dependence to independence.
